About This Package

Venture into history with the legendary Kyokuzan Maru wreck dive, a captivating underwater site near Dimalanta Island, just 30–40 minutes from Discovery Coron. Also known locally as the Dimalanta Wreck, this 136-meter-long Japanese World War II cargo ship was used as a naval auxiliary supply vessel. Rich in both historical significance and marine biodiversity, it’s the only shipwreck northeast of Busuanga — a standout even among Coron’s famed wreck dives.

Divers will find an almost fully intact Japanese army jeep chassis, a haunting yet fascinating glimpse of the past now surrounded by marine life. Due to its depth and structure, Advanced Open Water certification is required, and divers with PADI Deep or Wreck Adventure Dives are best suited for this trip. The wreck’s size requires a two-dive day trip to fully explore, while snorkelers can enjoy the colorful reef nearby.
